Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! I have another painting to share. Below you will see a watercolor painting of Saint Patrick. This one was done on a small piece of paper, 5.5″ x 8.5″ to be exact… quite a weird paper size if you ask me, but then again I’m certainly not a paper expert.

It all seemed to be going well, and then I started to paint the details on the face, e.g., the nose, the mouth, the eyes. I took out my pen to fix the paint splot on the nose… this is where a bigger piece of paper would have come in handy. The features could have been drawn a bit bigger.

Anyway, I went over the painting again with my pen when the paint was dry and touched up some spots. The face was tricky with it being so small, but I think I fixed it somewhat? I think you can still tell it’s Saint Patrick… I hope.
